1. 1.滑る動A2 Elementary

   • Be careful, the floor is wet and you might slip.

     気をつけて、床が濡れているから滑るかもしれないよ。

   • The ice was slippery, and the skater began to slip.

     氷は滑りやすかったので、スケーターは滑り始めた。

   • He slipped on a banana peel and fell down.

     彼はバナナの皮で滑って転んだ。

2. 2.（書類などを）滑らせる動B1 Intermediate

   • He slipped the note under the door.

     彼はドアの下にメモを滑り込ませた。

   • She slipped the permission slip into her bag.

     彼女は許可証をバッグに滑り込ませた。

   • The teacher slipped the graded papers onto the desk.

     先生は採点済みの書類を机の上に滑らせた。

3. 3.（地位・権力などが）失われる動B2 Upper Intermediate

   • The prime minister's popularity began to slip after the scandal.

     そのスキャンダルの後、首相の人気は失われ始めた。

   • He feared his grip on power would slip away.

     彼は権力への握りが失われていくのではないかと恐れた。

   • After the merger, many employees felt their job security might slip.

   • The summer vacation slipped away too quickly.

   • Time slips through our fingers like sand.

     時間は砂のように指の間をあっという間にすり抜けていく。

5. 5.（道・道筋）それる動B2 Upper Intermediate

   • The car slipped off the road into the ditch.

     車は道路から滑り落ちて側溝にはまった。

   • He slipped from his intended path while hiking.

     彼はハイキング中に予定していた道から外れた。

   • The conversation slipped away from the main topic.

     会話は本来の話題からそれていった。
